ANSWERS TO SOME COMMON QUESTIONS 1. Who is GOD? . GOD is The Creator and Controller of this whole universe. GOD made good all the things that He created and began the creation humans from clay, and gave life to all things. GOD created all living things from water. GOD has power over all things. GOD sees and hears all things. Everything in the heavens and the earth obey His Commands. When GOD wills something to happen HE says to it BE and it is. GOD is ALMIGHTY and ALL KNOWING. GOD sends down rain from the sky and gives life to the earth after its death, and produces from there all kinds of fruit as food for you. Don't they see the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? Nothing holds them up there except GOD. It is He that watches over all things. GOD created the sky and the earth in six days, then He established HIMSELF on the Throne, regulating and governing all things. He did not tire one bit from His creation. There is no god except He, The Merciful The Compassionate. GOD, The Creator of all things, it is HE that hears and knows. No event occurs except by His Will. To GOD belong the most beautiful names. People may call Him by different names, GOD, ALLAH, Nature, G_D, YHWHY, etc. No matter what HE is called by, HE is still GOD. HE is THE TRUTH. GOD is our Lord and the Lord of our forefathers. GOD is ONE. There is only ONE creator of this universe. That is GOD, our LORD. He is the Owner of the heavens and the earth and everything in between.
2. What is ISLAM? Who is a Muslim? Islam means submitting to the GOD, THE MASTER of the universe. Islam means following the commands of GOD. GOD commands people to do what is good and what is right. GOD commands people to speak the truth. If GOD willed, HE could have made everyone rightly guided, but GOD gives people a choice. They can do what is right, or do what is wrong. GOD will repay everyone for their actions in the hereafter. A MUSLIM is a person that submits himself to GOD’s commands. GOD commands people to accept and follow the truth and abstain from falsehood. GOD commands to pray devoutly to Him and to help people that are less fortunate. GOD commands people to do what is right. God commands people to be good. A Muslim is a person that does what GOD commands them to do. MUSLIM also means to obey GOD’s commands to abstain from doing acts that HE has forbidden. GOD commands people to speak the truth, not to lie, whether open or secret. GOD commands people not ascribe partners to Him, not to steal, not to commit adultery, not to kill, and not to do all other things that are wrong. A Muslim is a person that refrains from what GOD forbids them to. GOD will resurrect everyone on the day of judgement, and repay every person for their actions. GOD is THE MOST JUST of JUDGES, and will not do any wrong to any person. GOD has prepared a paradise and a hell fire. The people that believe in Him and do good will enter the paradise. The people that reject Him and do wrong actions will enter the hell fire. A Person that is Muslim does what GOD ordains for them to do, and refrains from doing the things GOD has forbidden them to do. The only thing acceptable to GOD is following HIS ordainments. That is what Islam means.
3. What is belief? The main tenet of ISLAM is to believe that there is ONE GOD, without any partners or associates. GOD created this universe out of nothing. GOD is the Creator; everything else is HIS creation. GOD is far above HIS creation. The main concept in Islam is to worship HIM alone, and not any of His creation, or any falsehoods that some may ascribe to HIM out of conjecture. To HIM belong all the praises and all the dominion and HE has power over all things. GOD knows everything that happens in the universe, and needs no intercessors. A person that believes in GOD is considered to be a believer. The believers also believe in GOD’s creation of the afterlife where everyone goes through their accounting. They believe in HIS angels, HIS scriptures, and HIS Messengers, which are all HIS creation. They also believe in destiny. GOD has ordained all things in this universe to occur, past present and future. GOD has ordained all those things to happen in advance, and everything happens according to HIS will and for a reason.
4. Who are the Messengers? GOD, through His Kindness and compassion sent Messengers to people when they started going astray. Adam, the first human, believed in GOD, but as time went on, people started going astray, away from the true belief in GOD. A few generations after ADAM, there were some pious people. The people decided to erect statues to commemorate those people. There names were Wa’ad, Suwa, Ya’guth, Ya’ooq, and Nasr. A few generations afterwards, satan made the people think that their forefathers worshipped those statues. The people then started worshipping those statues and got away from the True belief in GOD. GOD through His compassion sent Noah as a messenger to guide the people back to the truth. Noah preached to them night and day, openly and secretly, for a time period of nine hundred fifty years. His people refused to believe in GOD, The Creator and Controller. GOD then instructed Noah to build an ark. GOD told Noah to take all the believers with him in the ark. GOD then drowned the remaining disbelievers. GOD then made the believers the inheritors of the earth to see how they would behave. GOD left the disbelievers as a story being told for later generations. After Noah, again the people started going astray. GOD then sent them Messengers to guide them aright. GOD sent Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus to guide the people back to the Truth. All the messengers came with the same message, to believe in GOD and worship Him alone. All the messengers were Muslims (submitted themselves to GOD) and ordained Islam (obeying GOD’s ordainments). The final messenger GOD sent was Muhammed, to guide the people out of all the falsehoods attributed to GOD, and to worship GOD alone. When no one is left on the earth that believes in GOD, GOD will destroy the earth and bring forth the resurrection. GOD will judge everyone on the Day of Judgment and admit them either to the gardens of heaven or the fire of hell.
5. Why do people go astray? GOD created Adam from clay molded into shape, then He said to the angels to bow down to Adam, and they bowed down, except for Iblees (Satan). GOD said to Iblees, " Why didn't you bow down to Adam, when I commanded you to bow down?" Iblees said, " I am better than he is. You created me from fire and You created him from clay. It is not for me to bow down to one that You made from clay. " GOD said, " Then get down from here, for you are accursed and rejected. " Iblees said, " Give me a respite till the day the dead are raised.” GOD said," Respite is granted to you. You and whoever follows you, I will put in hell." Satan is an enemy to man. If Satan ever whispers to you, seek refuge in GOD from Satan the rejected. Satan and his tribe watch us from a place where we cannot see them. They whisper the wrong ideas about GOD and lead people to do wrong actions. Let us follow the truth in GOD, and not follow the lies of satan. Satan is our enemy and wants us to enter hell.
